I'm Back!

And glad to be here.

It has been a whirlwind of events and the weeks have just sort of slipped by, but now it's over and I'm ready to begin settling into the regular everyday things.

So, about three weeks ago I got married in Tennessee, then I had a reception up in Fort Wayne and got to see a lot of family that I haven't seen in years, and two days after that Keith and I moved down to Indianapolis, where we spent a little under a week trying to unpack and then immediately packed again to go on our honeymoon to the Dominican Republic. We just arrived home today, and we had a blast, but we're definitely glad to be home where you can drink the water and the majority of people speak English. I promise that soon I will have pictures posted of these events, but right now I'm just popping in to say hi and see if anyone in the blogosphere is still hangin' in there with me.

Oh, and I had a birthday. :-) Friday, June 13. Yes, that's right, my birthday occasionally falls on a Friday the 13th, and I've got to say, I'm pretty proud of that. I like having a birthday that sticks out (it goes with my theory that my birthday should be a national holiday and celebrated for an entire week).

Let's see. Oh, another important thing, we just got internet in our house today. That's right, Keith and I went two whole weeks without internet, and let me tell you it was a hassle and a pain and I hope to never have to go through that again. We have both just become too reliant on the internet and all its wonderful and necessary possibilities. If I could, I'd give the internet a hug.

So, that about raps up the short version of what's been going on in my life. Like I said, I'll have details later (along with pictures) but now I'm going to go and unpack some more boxes. Happy Father's Day!

  2. Congratulations again on your marriage. I'm glad you had a good honeymoon. I was in Florida for a week with no Internet and it was nice to take a break. Though I don't think I would like going without at home! So, here's a virtual hug for you!
