It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Last week I finished Not Quite Paradise: An American Sojourn in Sri Lanka, by Adele Barker (click the title for my review).  This was the first book I won through Library Thing's Early Reviewers program, and I was so excited to be able to review it for Beacon Press!

This week I'm working on the second book sent to me through the Early Reviewers: Mrs. Kaputnik's Pool Hall and Matzo Ball Emporium, by Rona Arato.

I also just picked up The Time Machine, by H.G. Wells (I watched the 2002 movie this weekend) and The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak, from the library on a whim, and they're both sitting on my nightstand begging me to pick them up.

Lots of good reviews will be coming!  What are you reading this week?

  2. Oh! We both received copies of the same Early Reviewers book from Library Thing. I probably won't be able to get to it for another week, but I'm interested to see what you think.
I've always wanted to read The Time Machine and for some reason was the only person ever to not finish The Book Thief. :o)

Hope you have a fabulous reading week!

  26. I forgot to pop over here last week :-(

I've heard good things about The Book Thief. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to it. Same with The Time Machine, though I may have read it when I was younger (it's been a while, lol). Great list!
