And that means it's time for Callapidder Days' annual Spring Reading Thing! You can find information about the event here. It's really quite simple: write down a list of books you want to read from March 20-June 20 and hop to it!
Here's my list:
The Eco Chick Guide to Life: How to be Fabulously Green by Starre Vartan (because I follow her blog and she has amazing ideas)
My Reading Life by Pat Conroy (again, I've heard good things)
Some Sing, Some Cry by Ntozake Shange and Ifa Bayeza (the cover just calls to me)
And finally, I want to read another classic, so I can continue with my goal of reading 5 this year (1 down; yay!). However, I have no idea what I'll pick next. I will most likely let you all decide through a poll, and then host another read-along, if anyone's interested.
So there's my list of books that I'd like to read this Spring. Granted, I fully expect it to change since my mood swings greatly influence my reading list. But that's why I love the Spring Reading Thing: it's not strict! So join in if you feel like it, and look for my reviews of the books I end up reading!
I've been trying to decide which classic to read next also - still unsure and tempted to just read another of the Anne of Green Gables books! Great list!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Jane Eyre (last time I read it was 1984). The new movie looks awesome, so I wanted to read the book again. I'd forgotten how good it was. I really want to read The Weird Sisters and look forward to your review.
ReplyDeleteLooks good, Amy! I've heard good things about My Reading Life too...I need to pick that one up. Thanks for being part of SRT '11!
ReplyDeleteFun! I love seasonal challenges and am having to hold myself back from jumping in. The Weird Sisters was great -- so well-written and engrossing. Hope you enjoy it -- and all your books!
ReplyDeleteThe Alchemist has caught my eye. I'll have to write it down. Happy Spring reading.
ReplyDeleteHmm...Have never heard of The Weird Sisters, but now it has caught my eye! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring and Happy Reading!
I haven't heard of many of these books, and now I'm going to look into The Weird Sisters, too!
