MySpace....hmmmm

I can't shake it. I just don't like MySpace. I think the pages are cluttered and hard to read and, for the most part, boring. The only thing I could think of using this for is keeping up with the bands I like who have MySpace pages. They'll probably tend to update them, so maybe I'll know when their concerts are. Then again, I could just go to their website for that. ::sigh:: I feel like such a humbug about MySpace, but I can't help it. I like Facebook's presentation better.

However, I could see the common sense behind libraries having MySpace pages. Kids are on it all the time anyway; this would be just one other way to reach out to them. I see libraries being much more successful on MySpace than on Facebook, because Facebook is more about people connecting, and MySpace's doors are wide open for businesses/bands/groups to connect. Personally, though, I'd much rather go to a library's actual website rather than their MySpace page. But that's just me.

Feel free to try to convince me otherwise - I'm not completely set against it, but it's going to take a lot of convincing to make me think otherwise.

Can you believe I've now completed 17 of the 21 things? That's amazing! What will I do when I'm done? How will I continue learning about all these new things on the web without any guidance? I'm sure someone will tell me how. :-) Next up, I think I'll tackle wikis.
