Meet Carly

So my husband and I made a bit of a hasty decision.  We had already had the discussion that we did not need/want a second dog.  However, this little one came through my email inbox from my mother-in-law, who runs a dog rescue.

How can you say no to this face??  This little girl is named Carly and is a purebred Border Collie.  She's six months old.  She was left outside in the sub-zero temperatures we had a couple of weeks ago, and was taken in by a woman who was already looking after one dog and four kids.

Well, one thing quickly led to another, and we found ourselves offering to foster her.  You know, until another family decides to adopt her, or we become "foster failures" and adopt her ourselves.  Which we both keep reminding ourselves will not, cannot happen.

So far we're in the very beginning stages of learning to trust and get along with our dog Lizzie, but I hope things progress quickly, because she's freakin' adorable.
