Assigned Reading

Sorry for the delay in posting; working overtime isn't really conducive to having much of a life. However, I did want to drop in and mention an idea that I had. Since I've been re-reading the Twilight series, I've grown a little more than interested in vampires. So, since Halloween is coming up (my almost favorite holiday!) and October is the one time of the year that I actually like to be scared (but only a little bit), I decided I would read Bram Stoker's Dracula. And, while I'm already giving myself a month of assigned reading, I figured I'd carry on and read A Christmas Carol in December. I'm pretty sure I've read A Christmas Carol already, but since I don't really remember (I mean honestly, I could just be remembering all the different movie versions I've seen), why not read it again at such an apt time? So, if any of you care to join me, I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments.

  1. If you're into vampires and Dracula, you should read The Historian, by ... the last name is Kostova, I think. Really. Start now. ;-)

  2. I will definitely check it out. After Breaking Dawn and Dracula. And sometime between The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Georgiana: Duchess of Devonshire. And A Christmas Carol. Crap, my reading list is getting long! Thank you, though, for the suggestion! I promise I will check it out....someday. Soon. Promise. :-)
